Heeding Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma’s suggestion, the first festival (sangeet sammelan) of music in honour of Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji took place in Sri Bhaini Sahib , on 16/17 November 2013. Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma ji was the first prominent artist to perform in this first sangeet sammelan. Pandit Rajan & Sajan Mishra were the first vocalists duo to celebrate the musical legacy of Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji. Leading the Sri Bhaini Sahib gharana was Ustad Harbhajan Singh and the hazuri raagis Balwant Singh, Mohan Singh, Harpreet Singh ‘sonu’, Kirpal Singh. Ustad Gurdev Singh, the well known sarod player was present too. Ustad Akram Khan and Pandit Yogesh Samji were the tabla players in the two day sammelan.
The DVD set of RAAG RATNAVALI was officially released by Pandit Shiv Kumar on this occasion. RAAG RATNAVALI is the first volume of collections of Gurbani compositions by Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji.
