Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan at Sri Bhaini Sahib

In the 11th Annual Sangeet Samellan held on 18/19 November 2023 in Sri Bhaini Sahib, Ludhiana, the star performer was the renowned Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan, his first appearance in this Sangeet Samellan, held in memory of Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji.

The legendary Sarod player, as expected, captivated the audience with his soulful performance, but the real highlight was witnessing him adorned in the traditional Namdhari Sikh style of turban.

On his official Facebook page Ustad Amjad Ali Khan expresses, “I am honored to have the opportunity to perform at the 11th Satguru Jagjit Singh Sangeet Sammelan. This is a spiritual homage to the legacy of Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji, a distinguished exponent of Indian classical music whose influence transcends the boundaries of time and geography.”
