As in the preceding events, it was to feature a string of renowned Namdhari musicians and the cream of Indian Classical artists – Pt. Ram Narayan, Pt. Anindo Chaterjee, Sh. Anubrata Chaterjee, Sh. Amaan Ali Khan, Smt. Kaushiqi Chakraborty, Ustad Sukhwinder Singh Namdhari, Sh. Harsh Narayan, Sh. Harpreet Singh Namdhari, Pt. Ajay Joglekar, Sh. Sandeep Ghosh, Ajaypal Singh, Karam Singh and students of Sh. Balwant Singh ji.

The two day event kicked off by a tabla solo by Ajaypal Singh with Karam Singh on sarod. This was followed by Harsh Narayan, grand-son of the legendary sarangi maestro Pandit Ram Narayan, (who could not attend the event). He was paired up with Namdhari tablist Sh. Harpreet Singh ‘Sonu’. Harsh Narayan’s grip over the sarangi was admirable and he  communicated the emotion of the presentation  very well. There was an admirable fluidity in his performance. The concluding item of the evening was the sarod playing of  Amaan Ali Khan, one of the two famous sons of sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan. He was accompanied on tabla by no other than Ustad Sukhwinder Singh Namdhari. Two two put on a classy and glossy performance to enthrall the audience in Sri Bhaini Sahib. DAY 1 came to an end with majestic performances as expected.img_4830b

The first performance of Day 2 was by some very young students of the Namdhari Kala Kendra, Sri Bhaini Sahib accompanied by Huzuri Ragi Balwant Singh Ji, who totally won the hearts of the audience present from various backgrounds.

After that, the second performance was one of the most awaited performances of the two day gathering. It was by vocalist Vidushi Kaushiki Chakrabarty, daughter of Sri Ajoy Chakrabarty. Her gorgeous voice and breathtaking skills of the Patiyala Gharana certainly spellbound each and everyone present. She shared the stage with Shri Sandip Ghosh Ji on Tabla (Farrukhabad Gharana) and the very famous Shri Ajay Joglekar Ji accompanying on Harmonium.

img_5512bThe last performance of the day was a brilliant Tabla Jugalbandi by world-renowned tabla maestro Pt.Anindo Chatterjee Ji (disciple of Pt. Jnan Prakash Ghosh Ji) and his son and disciple Shri Anubrata Chatterjee. They were accompanied by, once again, Shri Ajay Joglekar Ji. The performance left everyone spellbound.

As Pt. Anindo Chatterjee said in his closing note, now a day artists rarely perform to  audiences who have a long tradition of high-quality classical music. And the gathering at  Sri Bhaini Sahib were responding to all the artists in an appreciative manner and enjoying it.
