Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji\u00a0<\/strong>was the recipient of numerous awards in recognition for his contribution to society’s welfare.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tagore Ratna<\/strong>:\u00a0In 2012, the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi,\u00a0honoured\u00a0Satguru Jagjit Singh by inducting him as a prestigious Tagore Fellow of the Akademi for his contribution to Indian classical music and dance. \u00a0A delegation from Sangeet Natak Akademi specially came to Sri Bhaini Sahib on the occasion of Vaisakhi 13 April 2013 to present the Tagore Ratna to Sri Mata Chand Kaur Ji in the holy presence of Sri Satguru Uday Singh Ji.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gopal Ratan Award:<\/strong>\u00a0He was bestowed upon an honor \u2018Gopal Ratan\u2019\u00a0in 1965 at Hyderabad, by the\u00a0Gau- Govardhan Sammiti<\/em>\u00a0in recognition of his valuable contribution for the husbandry , improvement and health care of cows .<\/span><\/p>\n

Dharam Rakhyak Award:\u00a0<\/strong>Sri Satguru Ji undertook treatment of countless number of poor patients out of his own resources. For this charitable activity, the Doctors Association, Ludhiana honored him with \u2018\u00a0Dharam Rakhyak\u00a0” Award.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Bhai Mardana Award:\u00a0<\/strong>The International\u00a0<\/span>Bhai Mardana Kirtan Darbar Society<\/em>\u00a0bestowed him with \u2018<\/span>Bhai Mardana Award\u2019\u00a0due to his singular efforts to conserve and disseminate old traditions of\u00a0<\/span>gurbani kirtan<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sangeetacharaya Award:\u00a0<\/strong>Sri Satguru ji\u00a0made\u00a0special efforts to send his trainees to major music\u00a0<\/span>ustads<\/em>\u00a0(stalwarts) to gather of singing and music related diversity. He organized several sangeet<\/span>\u00a0sammelans<\/em>\u00a0(musical festivals) in the memory of Satguru Pratap Singh Ji on several occasions wherein the music lovers could listen to the performance by\u00a0<\/span>Shiromani\u00a0<\/em>musicians without any ticket charges. For the promotion of classical music and to prepare a number of musicians in this subject matter, the Baba\u00a0<\/span>Hariballabh Sangeet Darbar Society<\/em>\u00a0honored him with an award of \u2018<\/span>Sangeetacharaya\u2019\u00a0.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Harballabh Sangeet Sanman<\/strong>: In 1995, Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji was awarded the “Harballabh Sangeet\u00a0 Sanman” by the Baba Harballabh Sangeet Maha Sabha at Jalandhar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sangeet Maneesh Award:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Ustad Amjad Ali Khan presented Satguru Ji with an award of \u2018Sangeet Maneeshi\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0on behalf of the\u00a0Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan Memorial Society<\/em>\u00a0at\u00a0Sarod Ghar<\/em>\u00a0, Gawalior on 4 November 1999.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘My father used to say that not everyone can be an exponent of Indian classical music. Only a King or a Saint can patronize it. Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji is both a King and a Saint. He is the Sun that is lighting up the path of Indian classical music across India, illustrating to the world how one should revere Indian classical music’ Ustad Amjad Ali Khan Sarod Maestro (during the felicitation of Satguru Ji on the 4th of November 1999 at the Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan Sarod Gharana Gwalior).<\/div><\/div>\n

Dharam Ratna<\/strong>: In 2001, Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji was awarded the “Dharam Ratna” by Delhi Central Marg Darshan Sant Mandal<\/span><\/p>\n

Awards bestowed<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Satguru Ji honoured high achievers by conferring \u00a0awards.\u00a0Master Nihal Singh and Sant Ananta Singh were conferred the honour of\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\u2018Panth Rattan\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0<\/i>in the Hola Mohalla fair in Delhi in 1985 A.D. and Suba Ganda Singh and Sant Waryam Singh Mussavar in 1986 A.D. in Delhi.\u00a0<\/span>Pandit Gopal Singh Ji was honoured with the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u2018Gyan\u00ad Martand\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0award\u00a0<\/i>in the Hola-Mohalla at Sri Bhaini Sahib.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAshirwaad\u00a0<\/i>Puraskaar\u201d-\u00a0<\/strong>As per the wishes of His Holiness Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji, the\u00a0Ashirwaad\u00a0<\/i>Puraskaar was started in A.D. 1994 during the Annual Vidyak Sammellan held at Chandigarh. In that year, it was be\u00adstowed upon two Sikhs namely, Sant Surinder Singh Ji and Sant Dalip Singh Ji . Subsequently, various Namdhari personalities who have served Satguru Ji during their life have been honoured with this award including Sant Jagdish Singh Ji Waryam and Master Nihal Singh Ji. In the year A.D. 2000,this award was bestowed upon Mahant Santokh Singh Ji of \u2018Shaheedi Samarak\u2019 Malerkotla and in the year A.D. 2001, it was awarded to Sant Ajit Singh Amroha who is serving at Sri Bhaini Sahib.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018 Bhai Mastan Singh Award\u2019 – \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Bibi Narinder Kaur of Sri Bhaini Sahib was honoured with this award on the auspicious occasion of Holla\u00a0<\/span>Mohalla\u00a0<\/i>celebrations.<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

‘Sahit Rattan Award’ –\u00a0<\/strong>Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji honoured Prof. Kirpal Singh Kasel with Sahit Rattan Award on March 19, 2003 at Sri Bhaini Sahib.\u00a0<\/span>Sant Pritam Singh \u2018Kavi\u2019 was given this award on Oct. 15,2002 A.D. at Sri Bhaini Sahib.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
