He was born to mother Bhupinder Kaur and father Satguru Pratap Singh Ji at Sri Bhaini Sahib on 8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0<em>Maghar<\/em>\u00a01977\u00a0<em>Bikrmi Kattak Sudi Ikadshi<\/em>(November 22, 1920 AD) in the early hours of the day at 4\u2019o clock.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>1925-1939<\/strong>: After Mata Bhupinder Kaur Ji left for their heavenly abode, the care of Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji was entrusted to Sant Gurmukh Singh Jhabbar (father of Suwarn Singh Virk Ji). However, with the blessings and prayers of Sri Satguru Ji, it began raining on August 27, 1976, bringing much-needed relief to the British authorities and people.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>1976<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\"> Commencement of Kar-Seva of Ramsar (Sarover) Sri Bhaini Sahib by Sri Satguru Ji to reshape it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>1971 to 1977<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nSatguru Ji participated in the World Vegetarian Conference in 1971 in The Hague (Holland), in 1973 in Sweden, Sri Lanka, and Chicago (USA) in 1975, and in India in 1957, 1967, and 1976. Dr. Suchaat invited religious leaders from 22 countries to the event, where they brought soil from their respective countries to be included in the foundation of the Peace Temple. It was a moment of great pride for Indians when Sri Satguru Ji laid the foundation stone of the Peace Temple.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\">\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.5em;\">1979<br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\">Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji declared his support to the Congress Party which is led by Smt. Vice President Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma was the Chief Guest at a seminar in FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">In 1991 the reconstruction of the holy Ram Sarovar was commenced in Sri Bhaini Sahib. The foundation stone was laid by Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>16 July 1991<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nSatguru Jagjit Singh Ji underwent bypass heart surgery performed by Dr. I.K. Ross at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia. Four conditions set by Sri Satguru Ji were strictly adhered to: (i) No haircuts were to be done on His Holiness&#8217;s body, (ii) No spirits were to be used before, during, or after the operation, (iii) No blood transfusions were allowed, and (iv) Only male nurses were to attend to His Holiness.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>8 Novenber 1992<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\"> Sri Satguru. Ji laid the foundation of Sports Complex at Sri Bhaini Sahib.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>1992<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\"> Namdhari Seeds started its in-house publication \u2018Namdhari Samachar.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>1992<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Namdhari Kala Kendra emerged under the direction of Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji at Sri Bhaini Sahib (Ludhiana) in 1992, as per the wishes of Sri Satguru Pratap Singh Ji. The aim was to ensure that Raagis perform Kirtan in accordance with the Raagas as prescribed in the Sri Aad Granth Sahib, following the tradition of earlier Gurus.
